Michelle Williams: I’m Doing Reality TV To Bond With My Family

Former Destiny’s Child star Michelle Williams agreed to film a new reality TV show about her family so she could get to know her sisters better.

The singer announced last week she has invited cameras into her life to document her relationship with her siblings for a new series entitled My Sister’s Keeper.

Williams admits filming the project has brought her closer to her relatives, after she left home as a teenager to pursue her dream of a career in the music industry.

She tells Fox News Rising, “I can’t believe I am doing this. It’s titled My Sister’s Keeper. It’s just (about my) life, about myself and my two sisters as we try to figure things out. We are getting to know each other.  You know, I left home when my baby sister was eight, so I kind of missed a lot of her growing up. They just expressed to me, ‘We just miss you.’ So it’ll be a great way to just kind of show that dynamic… I’m ready for people to get to know me.”

No word on which network the show will air on, but I’m pretty sure I will give it a “look-see.”  What say you? Will you be watching?

  1. Hmmm a reality show to bond with family? Nah. I think people agree to reality shows as a way to gain exposure and money. Now if bonding takes place in the process, all the better.

  2. Lmao…you need a show to bond with your sisters. Str8 BS. Tell the truth. You need money!!!
    We not watch

  3. Sounds like it will be wickety wickety Whack! Michelle needs some cash…

  4. @ Jeanine, you are on point. She want’s to get her “Bookings Up” it’s about visibility. Not sure if I’ll be tuning in.

  5. I agree with Cuzo! I don’t think the bonding was the reason. I think the money is the motivation. Who needs reality TV to bond with their family? If she truly wanted to bond, she wouldn’t need it to bond.

  6. We aren’t checking for Michelle, much less her sisters. I will not be watching this unless she can persuade Beyonce to make a few cameos. But even then I probably wouldn’t watch seeing as how her documentary is still on my DVR waiting for me to watch it.

  7. Umm, no! If you want to get to know your family better then go see them, pick up the phone and call them, skype them, oovoo them, but you dont do a reality show with them that could eventually tear yall further apart………Really, this was your smart plan to bond with your family. No ma’am……you broke and need money so you doing it dumb way…..smh.

  8. I’m going to watch. Maybe I’ll get yo know Michelle. She seems not to have any personality.

  9. She must not know any better. Reality TV shows DO NOT bring people closer together. In fact, they do the exact opposite. Ask NeNe Leakes, LaLa Anthony, Erica & Tina Campbell…the list goes on and on.
