Academy Awards 2013 Red Carpet Part I

Halle-Berry-Versace

The 85th Annual Academy Awards took place on Sunday and Hollywood’s hottest celebs were in attendance.  Halle Berry rocked her signature pixie cut and a metallic Versace gown.  Halle knows exactly what works for her body and she always looks flawless on the red carpet.

CharlizeTheron-Dior

Charlize Theron is a vision of sophistication in a structured Dior Couture column gown. Jewels from Harry Winston complete the look.

Jennifer Hudson’s Roberto Cavalli gown as a stand alone piece is glamorous, but that satiny shoe is throwing the look off for me.  Very 1990′s high school prom.

Salma-Hayek-jpg_004940

Salma Hayek looks very dated in a blue velvet Alexander McQueen gown featuring an ornate high neckline.  Velvet, really?

I love Jennifer Garner’s raspberry-colored column Gucci gown embellished with a dramatic ruffled train.  This is one of my fave dresses of the night, probaly based on the color alone.  Love Love it!!

  1. I think all the ladies look great.

  2. Selma looks out of place. I don’t know where J-Hud got that shoe from, she should have left it.

  3. Halle is indeed killing it!! Charlize and Jennifer Garner look lovely as well. You’re right about J Hud’s shoes throwing off her look and poor Selma just missed it altogether!!

  4. Halle is flawless as usual as well as Charlize & Jennifer (the color is beautiful). Oh Selma no one, I mean no one is wearing velvet dresses anymore, not even the old people. J Hud and those wedding shoes, smh.

  5. y’all don’t want her? I’ll take her! Come herre Ms Hayek!
And I’ll take some of Ms Theron too!

  6. Halle did the Thang right as always. What is this Velvet…Not hawt, but maybe hot. And Jennifer’s dress, while I love the color reminds me of Madonna’s Material Girl dress. JMO
